Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Ammonium Bifluoride 98% Extra Pure (CAS No. 1341-49-7) is an acidic inorganic fluoride salt composed of ammonium and hydrogen difluoride ions. In aqueous systems, it provides a strongly reactive fluoride medium capable of interacting with siliceous materials, metal oxides, and selected inorganic substrates. This behaviour gives ammonium bifluoride particular relevance in etching, surface-treatment, and fluoride-based laboratory chemistry.
The Extra Pure grade is intended for routine laboratory preparation, inorganic research, surface-chemistry studies, and application-development work requiring a dependable acidic fluoride reagent. It is suitable for preparing fluoride-containing solutions, investigating the treatment of glass and mineral surfaces, and conducting laboratory-scale metal-cleaning or inorganic fluorination procedures under appropriately controlled conditions.

Storage Conditions
Store in a tightly closed, chemically resistant container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated location. Protect the material from atmospheric moisture and prolonged exposure to air. Use packaging specifically compatible with acidic fluoride salts and avoid transfer into glass or unsuitable metallic containers. Reseal the container promptly after dispensing to preserve product quality.
