Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Ammonium Carbonate For HPLC (CAS No. 506-87-6) is a volatile ammoniacal carbonate reagent used for preparing alkaline chromatographic media. Commercial material under this identity may contain ammonium carbonate together with ammonium bicarbonate and ammonium carbamate species, which collectively supply ammonium and carbonate-containing ions after dissolution. Its non-metallic ionic composition allows mobile-phase conditions to be adjusted without introducing alkali-metal counterions.
The HPLC grade is intended for mobile-phase preparation, chromatographic method development, and sample-solution procedures requiring a suitably controlled buffer salt. It is used to establish alkaline aqueous or aqueous–organic mobile phases and to influence the retention and selectivity of compatible ionisable compounds through controlled pH and ionic conditions.

Storage Conditions
Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated location. Protect the material from heat, moisture, contamination, and prolonged exposure to air. Reseal the container promptly after dispensing to minimise loss of ammonia and carbon dioxide and preserve its chromatographic reagent quality.
