Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Ethylenediamine 98% For Synthesis (CAS No. 107-15-3) is ethane-1,2-diamine, a bifunctional aliphatic diamine containing two primary amino groups separated by a two-carbon chain. Both nitrogen atoms are basic and nucleophilic, enabling salt formation, condensation, acylation and crosslinking reactions. The neighbouring donor atoms also allow ethylenediamine to act as a bidentate ligand in coordination compounds.
The Synthesis grade is intended for preparative organic, polymer and coordination chemistry. It is useful for constructing nitrogen-containing heterocycles, preparing diamides, ureas, imines and chelating ligands, and introducing flexible diamine linkages into resins or polymers. Its two reactive amino groups support both chain extension and network formation, depending on reagent stoichiometry and functionality.

Storage Conditions
Store tightly closed and protect from atmospheric moisture, carbon dioxide, excessive heat and contamination. Minimise prolonged exposure to air to preserve amine concentration, colour and nucleophilic reactivity.
