Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
iso-Propyl Alcohol 99.8% GC (CAS No. 67-63-0) is 2-propanol, a volatile secondary alcohol with well-characterised gas-chromatographic retention behaviour. Its volatility and broad solvating ability allow it to function as a sample solvent or extraction medium in compatible GC procedures, while 2-propanol itself is also an important volatile analyte distinguishable chromatographically from 1-propanol and other low-molecular-weight alcohols.
The GC grade is intended for preparation of gas-chromatographic samples, solvent blanks and analysis of volatile mixtures where controlled solvent cleanliness is important. The stated 99.8% assay does not establish detector-specific impurity limits or guarantee absence of every GC-detectable trace constituent; performance remains method-dependent.

Storage Conditions
Keep tightly closed to minimise evaporation, moisture uptake and contamination by other volatile substances that could affect GC blanks. Minimise prolonged air exposure and avoid concentrating aged solvent without appropriate consideration of possible peroxide accumulation.
