Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Petroleum Ether 40-60°C AR (CAS No. 8032-32-4) is an analytical-reagent low-boiling petroleum hydrocarbon fraction defined by a 40-60°C distillation range. Because it is a mixture rather than a single compound, analytical suitability depends on controlled fraction composition, low non-volatile residue and reagent cleanliness rather than a fixed molecular identity.
The AR grade is intended for analytical extraction, sample cleanup, gravimetric work-up and conventional laboratory methods requiring a clean volatile non-polar solvent. It is suitable for partition and recovery studies that require the specified boiling point range.

Storage Conditions
Store tightly closed and protect from evaporation and analytical contamination. Prevent cross-contamination with other boiling-range fractions or non-volatile solvents that could affect analytical residue.
