Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Petroleum Ether 40-60°C Extra Pure (CAS No. 8032-32-4) is a low-boiling petroleum-derived hydrocarbon solvent fraction defined operationally by its 40-60°C boiling range rather than by one fixed molecular formula. It consists predominantly of volatile non-polar hydrocarbons whose exact distribution can vary while remaining within the specified fraction characteristics.
The Extra Pure grade is intended for general laboratory extraction, reaction work-up, washing and solvent processing where a volatile non-polar petroleum fraction is suitable. Its 40-60°C range provides rapid solvent removal and distinguishes it from the higher-boiling petroleum ether and solvents.

Storage Conditions
Keep tightly closed and protect from evaporation, moisture and contamination. Maintain the product as its defined boiling-range fraction and prevent mixing with other petroleum ether cuts or solvents.
