Product Overview
Potassium Ferrocyanide Trihydrate 98.5% AR/ACS (CAS No. 14459-95-1) is the trihydrated tetrapotassium salt of hexacyanoferrate(II). Its ferrocyanide complex acts as a defined iron(II) coordination anion that participates in oxidation–reduction chemistry and gives characteristic reactions with several metal ions, including formation of intensely coloured iron hexacyanoferrate phases. The trihydrate designation is retained explicitly because hydration state is part of the catalogue identity.
The AR/ACS grade is positioned for conventional analytical and quality-control procedures involving ferrocyanide colour reactions, precipitation chemistry or preparation of hexacyanoferrate reagents. Its established coordination and redox behaviour make it useful in analytical systems where ferrocyanide is deliberately employed as reagent or reaction partner.

Storage Conditions
Store well closed and protected from prolonged light, contamination and uncontrolled moisture exchange. Preserve the trihydrate and ferrocyanide oxidation state by minimising exposure to conditions that could cause dehydration, oxidation or introduction of reactive impurities.
