Product Overview

Potassium Iodate 99.5% AR (CAS No. 7758-05-6) is an iodine(V) oxyanion salt with reproducible oxidising chemistry. In acidic iodide-containing media, iodate can stoichiometrically produce iodine, making the iodate-iodide system useful in iodometric and related titrimetric procedures. Its relative chemical stability also makes potassium iodate a useful reagent for preparing oxidising solutions in conventional analytical chemistry.

The AR grade is intended for iodometric reagent preparation, redox titrimetry, analytical oxidations and laboratory quality control. The 99.5% assay suits all the laboratory activities that require higher purity and low impurity interference in the analytical system.
