Silica Gel HF 254 For Thin Layer Chromatography (CAS No. 112926-00-8) is an H-type silica TLC adsorbent incorporating an F254 fluorescent indicator while retaining the binder-free functional character associated with the H designation. Its silanol-rich surface provides polar adsorption for normal-phase separation, and the fluorescent background enables detection of UV-absorbing compounds through quenching or attenuation when examined at approximately 254 nm.

The Thin Layer Chromatography form is intended for preparation of fluorescent TLC layers in procedures that specifically require H-type silica rather than conventional binder-containing G material.
