Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Sodium Hydroxide Pellets 98% AR (CAS No. 1310-73-2) is sodium hydroxide in pellet form, providing a strongly basic reagent for conventional analytical chemistry. Hydroxide neutralises acids stoichiometrically and supports numerous titrimetric, hydrolytic and pH-control procedures. Because solid sodium hydroxide readily absorbs atmospheric moisture and carbon dioxide, accurately prepared quantitative solutions may require verification or standardisation rather than relying solely on weighed solid.
The AR grade is intended for preparation of analytical alkali solutions, acid–base titrimetry, reagent formulation and laboratory quality control. The pellet form supports convenient handling and portioning.

Storage Conditions
Store tightly closed and minimise exposure to atmospheric moisture and carbon dioxide so that pellet composition remains as consistent as practical. Use clean, dry analytical handling and promptly reseal after dispensing.
