Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
tert-Butyl Alcohol 99% AR/ACS (CAS No. 75-65-0) is analytical reagent 2-methylpropan-2-ol, a tertiary alcohol that combines complete tert-butyl substitution at the carbinol centre with broad compatibility in mixed aqueous–organic solvent systems. Its relatively accessible solid–liquid transition and ability to dissolve compounds spanning different polarity ranges also make it useful in selected physical-chemistry measurements.
The AR/ACS grade is intended for precise analytical work of a general nature, reagent preparation and laboratory quality-control procedures requiring ACS-defined reagent characteristics.
