Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Toluene 99.5% AR (CAS No. 108-88-3) is methylbenzene, a non-polar aromatic solvent used in conventional analytical extraction, dissolution and reagent-preparation procedures. Its hydrophobicity and compatibility with many organic compounds make it useful for partitioning analytes from polar matrices and for preparing non-aqueous solutions. Toluene can also serve as a solvent blank where the analytical method is compatible with its intrinsic background.
The AR grade is intended for conventional analytical extraction, sample preparation, dissolution and non-aqueous reagent systems. Its aromatic solvent properties make it useful in laboratory quality-control procedures involving hydrophobic organic compounds.

Storage Conditions
Store tightly closed to minimise evaporation and contamination that could affect analytical solvent composition. Use clean dispensing practices and prevent cross-contamination by oils, other solvents and sample residues.
